Nokia Enabled

If you already have a copy of the Nokia Data Suite for your Nokia 6110, 6138,6150, and 8110, 8810. You can use the IRDL as an inter-medium between your handphone and PC/notebook. For use in faxing, email and Internet search, you will need to refer to your Handphone Service Provide and subscript their Digital Data Manager in your SIM card.

Double click on the install icon under Nokia and the program will be installed to your PC desktop.
Face Nokia IR device to IRDL.
Click on the IR icon on the taskbar and check in the Infrared Monitor Status for locating the Nokia Identification.
When the Nokia handphone is found, disable the infrared communication and click the apply button.

The IR Monitor must be disabled as it uses the same physical com port, it is important to have the IR Monitor found in the Control Panel disabled before application of the Nokia IR Works, allowing the NDS to use the com port after the NIW establish the communication protocol.

Double click on Nokia IR Works icon to activate NIW.

Activate the Nokia IR on the handphone.
Select and activate COM port the IRDL is physically connected to.

Choose the port IRDL is connected to and click 2 times on the set port button.
Exit from Nokia IR Works
Now open the Nokia Data Suite 2.0.
You should notice if the IR transfer signal is still on; if not, repeat process. (need not turn off computer)
The IR in the handphone is active for only 45 sec. From HP activation to NIW to NDS - the process should not exceed 45 seconds.
